Our fully equipped lab and store are staffed all year in order to ensure that the grain we store is kept in the best possible condition from point of delivery to point of sale. Throughout the year our staff and our systems monitor a variety of elements such as temperature and moisture in order to maintain the quality of stored crops.
A series of checks and tests are conducted on each of the separate storage areas at Wiltshire Grain on a rota basis. Each storage area has a specified number of sample points to ensure that when samples are taken, a representative sample of that particular storage area is gained. Depending on the crop, nitrogen, germination, moisture, specific weight and oil content are checked.
